Here at EK-PN we love parties and we love nature. So what better than to celebrate life with life! We do butterflies, a fascinating array of Australian mini beasts and bring little worlds to life with flora. Take a look at our different packages to see what you would love at your next celebration.
Parties with Dr Livinia-Stone
Who is “Dr Livinia-Stone”???
The Doc is the great-great-great-granddaughter of the amazing explorer Dr Livingstone (You know the guy … “Dr Livingstone I presume…”)
Of course over the years the Livingstone family dispersed around the world. Dr Livinia landed in the Northern Territory’s outback and found all sorts of amazing creatures living there. But she never rests and is always looking for adventure and fun in all parts of Sydney.
Dr Livinia brings fun, adventure, laughter and learning to your child’s party. Many of our packages are hosted by Dr Livinia, geared up with her safari suit & hat. She will keep the kids amused and entertained for her whole visit.
(Her story of course isn’t real but we have wild imaginations here!)
“Amazing Bugs Party” – 1 hour
In this package, Dr Livinia brings her amazing gentle mini beasts to your child’s party.
There are a variety of mini beasts which are seasonal and can include Spiny leaf insects, Crown insects, Spur Legged, Margin Wings and Goliath insects. Regardless of the season, there will always be fascinating bugs to amaze all the kids.
The kids will have an opportunity to:
- Spend time with the bugs in our walk-in enclosure
- get up close and personal with each creature
- hold and experience how the creatures like to sit and move on their own arms
- feed the bugs
- take lots of photos holding these unique mini beasts.
- time for inquisitive minds to ask questions and get into the world of invertebrates.
- do themed colouring in, activity sheets and have some play dough fun
And for the more skeptical guests (usually the grown ups!) there’s plenty to appreciate from a short distance too. One things for sure, by the end of the party everyone falls in love with these unique, amazing creatures.
In rotation, the kids will enjoy times in our walk in enclosure allowing time with each of insects and a sense of entering their world. In the enclosure, they will get time holding, observing and even feeding the mini beasts.
Throughout your party, there are bug related activities that are provided age appropriate to your group. We bring play dough (freshly made on the day of your party) for sculpting insects, word puzzles, bug themed drawing and colouring-in.
A great hit at each party is our bug hunt. An adventure with Dr Livinia, exploring the plants and insects that can be found in the surrounds of your party. Any back yard usually has more than you can imagine. Parks are superb locations for our parties too!

“My Beautiful Butterfly and Bugs Party” – 1.5 hours
In this package, Dr Livinia brings her amazing gentle mini beasts to your child’s party as well as a beautiful monarch butterfly.
There are a variety of mini beasts which are seasonal and can include Spiny leaf insects, Crown insects, Margin Wing, Spur Legged and Goliath insects. Regardless of the season, there will always be fascinating bugs to amaze all of the kids.
A highlight of the Party will be the amazing Monarch Butterfly that has been in hibernation waiting for the day of your child’s party. Suitably named after the guest of honour, your little one will enjoy the magic of releasing the butterfly into our walk in enclosure.

Dr Livinia engages the children with amazing facts about bugs and butterflies. She will lead the kids on an exciting bug discovery tour toward the end of the party, where each child will have a magnifying glass in hand, to see how many amazing bugs they can find and name.

At the end of Dr Livinia’s visit, your child gets to release the butterfly into the wild. It is usually a magical moment and great photo opportunity.

“Butterfly Encounters” Party – 1.5 hours
This is for the absolute butterfly lover.
With all things butterfly, Dr Livinia comes with her walk in butterfly enclosure and five precious Monarch Butterflies who have all been hibernating, just waiting for release on the special party day.
Your child gets to name each butterfly and individually release them in the enclosure. The enclosure allows four children at a time to enter and enjoy some personal time being surrounded by the butterflies, watching, holding and even feeding them.
While other children are out of the enclosure there are butterfly games, crafts and activities and amazing facts to learn from Dr Livinia.
Dr Livinia leads the group on a hunt for caterpillers, Chrysalis, Cocoons and of course butterflies. We even look for plants that attract butterflies on this journey.

“Fairy and Dinosaur Gardens party” 1.5 hours
This is for all of the green thumbs.
Each child gets to build their own terrarium (a fairy garden or dinosaur garden) that they take home to look after and treasure. This is a hands-on creative activity that really gets guests in touch with their earthy and artistic side!
Guests choose between a dinosaur or fairy garden and with the help of Dr Livinia create a living master piece. Your child gets an extra large terrarium to build that will remind them of their special day for a long time to come.
Dr Livinia also takes the kids out on a plant and bug discovery tour, as the kids explore with magnifying glass in hand, the wonderful world of flora and fauna.

Price: $220.00 for the party PLUS $10.00 per child for all terrarium materials.
“Party with the butterflies” (non hosted)
Create the magic of an enchanted forest in your very own setting. Beautiful for so many occassions including baby showers, Kitchen Teas, Christenings
Our fully netted marquee can be set up with as much or as little detail you like. Inside we can set up for anything from a picnic to a high tea party for you and your guests to enjoy. In the marquee there will be live butterflies.
Inclusions: Our package includes 5 monarch butterflies to keep, hire of fully enclosed marquee, set up and pack down of marquee.
Price: $300.00 all day hire. The butterflies are all yours but we encourage you to release them into the wild before sun down.
Optional Extras: Additional butterflies – $20.00 each
Ask about other optional extras such as additional butterflies floral features, table and chair hire and catering options.
“Butterfly Enclosure and Release package” (non hosted party)
Our butterfly enclosure allows children to take turns spending time observing, holding and feeding the butterflies..Watch the amazing creatures flutter around you, fly onto your shoulder or feed off the nectar provided. Releasing into the enclosure at the start of your party and into the wild at the end of the party are spectacular photo moments.
This package includes delivery (Syd Metro) and hire of enclosure and its contents. As well as 4 live butterflies that get released by the birthday child. Whilst our package incluses four more can be ordered and it’s popular to order the number of butterflies corresponding to your child’s age.
Return of the enclosure isn’t required until the Monday after your event. This can be brought to either our Five Dock office or Belfield property, which ever is more convenient.
Price: $165 (plus refundable deposit).

“Butterfly Releases”
This is the purchase of individual butterflies for release into the wild (popular at cake time, at the end of a ceremony or service). Butterflies are provided in a special release package and hand delivered on the day of the party.

1 butterfly = $50
2 butterflies = $70
3 Butterflies = $90
4 Butterflies = $110
Additional Butterflies beyond 4 are charged at $15 each.
